Green Valley English School, Varanasi, recently organized a comprehensive training session on the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 for its faculty members. The session aimed to familiarize educators with the key reforms introduced in the policy and equip them with effective strategies to implement them in the classroom.

The workshop was conducted by experienced educationists, Dr. Shilpa Sharma and Mr. Arpit Tripathi who provided in-depth insights into the transformative aspects of NEP 2020, including the 5+3+3+4 curricular structure, emphasis on experiential learning, integration of technology in education, and promotion of multidisciplinary learning. Teachers were also guided on the importance of competency-based education, holistic report cards, and the shift from rote learning to conceptual understanding.
The school Principal, Mrs. Kiran Singh welcomed the guests wholeheartedly.

During the interactive session, teachers actively participated in discussions on innovative pedagogical approaches, assessment reforms, and ways to integrate skill-based learning into their teaching methodologies. The session also addressed the role of mother tongue/local language as a medium of instruction in the foundational years and the significance of vocational education from an early stage.

The training concluded with a Q&A session, where teachers shared their thoughts and concerns regarding the implementation of NEP 2020. The workshop served as a valuable platform for educators to gain clarity on the policy and align their teaching methods with its progressive vision.
